A Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches and clocks, Audemars Piguet claims its spot in the Holy Trinity of Swiss watchmakers. It was founded by childhood friends Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet in the Vallée de Joux in 1875. Famous for their sophisticated craftsmanship and complications, they’re an independent watch brand still owned by the founding families. They rose to prominence in 1972, with their pioneering luxury sports watch, The Royal Oak.
