One Size Fits All: Introducing the Four New Royal Oak Offshore Self-winding Chronographs

Buying a new luxury watch that you desire? But will it fit your wrist properly? Well, those are million-dollar questions that can confuse a buyer. You may pine for a new luxury timepiece, but you can save yourself some trouble, if you do your homework regarding the case size beforehand. Keeping in mind universal case size needs and making its latest offerings impressively unisex, Audemars Piguet has unveiled four new Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs in 37 mm cases, thereby replacing the 43 mm versions that were launched in 2021.

The new models — Refs. 26231OR.ZZ.A085CA.01, 26231ST.ZZ.A178CA.01, 26236BA.YY.D346CA.01, and 26236OR.YY.D002CA.01 — feature distinctive dial colours and an array of baguette-cut gemstones and brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezels. These four variations, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the famous Royal Oak Offshore, are powered by in-house self-winding Calibre 2385 with 40 hours of power reserve. This is the same calibre that was incorporated into the first Royal Oak Chronograph, Ref. 25860, which was launched in 1998.

All four models come with their respective dial colours, matching the subdials. You can spot on each watch a 12-hour subdial at 9 o’clock, a seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, a date window at 4:30, and a 30-minute subdial at 3 o’clock. Also, common to all four models are eight visible screws on each bezel.

The first model is Ref. 26231OR.ZZ.A085CA.01, which comes in an 18 ct pink gold case and has a pink gold bezel, set with 32 brilliant-cut diamonds. The watch gets a light blue dial with a “Lady Tapisserie” pattern, hour markers, hour, minute, and seconds hands in pink gold. Pink gold can also be found on the crown and the chronograph pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock. 

This Audemars Piguet New Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph watch is finished on a beige rubber strap with an 18-carat pink gold AP pin buckle and an interchangeable system. There is an additional light blue rubber strap as well.

The second model, Ref. 26231ST.ZZ.A178CA.01, comes in a stainless steel case, sporting a bezel, set with 32 brilliant-cut diamonds. The watch gets a salmon dial with a “Lady Tapisserie” pattern, hour markers, hour, minute, and seconds hands in white gold. White gold can also be found on the crown and the chronograph pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock.

This model is finished on a light grey rubber strap with a stainless steel AP pin buckle and an interchangeable system. You get an additional dark grey rubber strap.

The third model, Ref. 26236BA.YY.D346CA.01, is housed in a yellow gold case and the bezel is bedecked with 32 baguette-cut tsavorites as well as blue, yellow, and green sapphires.

This Audemars Piguet New Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph watch boasts a blue dial with a “Lady Tapisserie” pattern, hour markers, hour, minute, and seconds hands in yellow gold. Yellow gold has also been used for the crown and the chronograph pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock. This model is finished on a blue rubber strap with an 18 ct yellow gold AP pin buckle and an interchangeable system. There is an additional green rubber strap.

Ref. 26236OR.YY.D002CA.01 is the last model. Apart from an 18 ct pink gold case, the watch sports a bezel, set with 32 baguette-cut rainbow rubies, tsavorites, topazes, tanzanites, amethysts, and orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and pink sapphires.

This particular Audemars Piguet New Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph watch gets a black dial with a “Lady Tapisserie” pattern, hour markers, hour, minute, and seconds hands in pink gold. Pink gold can also be found on the crown and the chronograph pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock. This model is accompanied by a black rubber strap with an 18 ct pink gold AP pin buckle and an interchangeable system. What’s more, there is an additional beige rubber strap as well.
