Scaling New Heights, Tissot’s PR 100 Jungfrau Editions Get Four New Faces

Nestled like a crown above Europe, the Swiss Alps rise in majestic silence, their snow-draped peaks and crystalline air whispering timeless stories. It’s here, in this awe-inspiring landscape, that watchmakers have long found their muse. The precision of nature’s rhythm — the steady melt of glaciers, the shift of light across granite cliffs, the hush of falling snow — mirrors the heartbeat of horology. Each tick of a finely crafted movement echoes the eternal stillness of alpine dawns, where time feels sacred. Guided by the mountain’s quiet perfection, Tissot has expanded its celebrated PR 100 Jungfrau collection with the release of four striking new references, each paying tribute to the breathtaking Swiss Alpine peak that has inspired the series in the first place.

Mount Jungfrau, the crown jewel of the Bernese Alps, rises like a fantasy fashioned in snow and stone, its snowy top reaching 4,158 metres. The Jungfrau, often cloaked in mist and folklore, is more than just a mountain; it's a symphony of glaciers, craggy cliffs, and endless white. Beneath its towering magnificence, the Jungfraujoch — known as the "Top of Europe" — welcomes visitors to breathtaking panoramas.

Available in two sizes, 34 mm (two references) and 40 mm (two references), the four stainless steel watches are offered with two dial options. These include a dark blue sunray dial with nickel hour, minute hands and a striking yellow second hand, a nod to Jungfraubahn’s train colours, and a silver sunray dial, with icy blue baton hour markers and hour, minute, and second hands mirroring the contrast of snow against the alpine sky. The hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova®.

The Jungfrau mountains are delicately engraved on each dial at 6 o’clock. A white background black numeral date window is also spotted at 3 o’clock on each watch. Powering the variants is a quartz movement. “Jungfrau – Top of Europe” and “Special Edition” are engraved on each stainless steel caseback. The watches are finished on interchangeable quick release stainless steel bracelets.
