Piaget Shines at Watches and Wonders 2025 with Dazzling Polo 79, Sixtie and Andy Warhol Timepieces

With Watches and Wonders 2025 reaching its halfway mark in Geneva, the magnetic allure of this fine watchmaking exhibition continues to pull us in. As we dive deeper into the world of haute horlogerie, examines the head-turning pieces released by the renowned Swiss watchmaker Piaget. At the forefront is the sensational Sixtie, followed by the iconic Polo 79, and the unmissable Andy Warhol iterations.

A New Wave of Sixtie

Daring and avant-garde, the Sixtie is born out of the Maison's historic codes. Its nomenclature echoes the flamboyance that defined the late 1960s when Piaget seamlessly merged precious stones with women's watches. A jewellery watch or a watch jewel, the Sixtie is largely a woman’s watch. Its supple bracelet, crafted with interlaced trapeze-shaped links, drapes elegantly over the wrist.

The bezel’s finely chiselled gadroons pay homage to Piaget’s iconic design, once owned by Andy Warhol. The satin-finished white solar dial features golden hour markers, baton hands, and Roman numerals in a clean, harmonious layout. Measuring 29 mm x 25.3 mm with a slim 6.5 mm profile, the Sixtie houses an ultra-thin quartz movement, reflecting Piaget’s expertise in slim watchmaking.

Available in stainless steel, 18 ct 4N pink gold or a two-tone combination, select models are further enhanced with 51 brilliant-cut diamonds (0.52 ct) on the bezel. Water-resistant to 5 ATM, this timepiece blends elegance with architectural contrast.

The Andy Warhol Watch

Born of a collaboration between Piaget and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, this iconic 1970s design returns to the spotlight at Watches and Wonders 2025 with playful and colourful new interpretations.

One standout feature is a radiant opal dial framed by a 45 mm gold gadroon bezel, adorned with a striking triple row of baguette-cut blue sapphires. Joining this refreshed collection is a version with a tiger’s eye dial — a silky, richly amber ornamental stone distinguished by its deep orange and brown tones.

At its heart beats the in-house 501P1 Manufacture self-winding movement, reinforcing its place within a lineup that includes a made-to-order edition. Collectors can choose from 10 different ornamental stone dials, five coloured leather straps, two hand styles (baton or dauphine), and either white or rose gold cases — offering limitless combinations to craft a personalised Piaget Andy Warhol timepiece that reflects their own sign of distinction.

Polo 79 White Gold

Channelling the glamour and sporty sophistication of the 1980s, Piaget reintroduces the Polo 79 in a sleek new white gold edition. This refreshed model embraces the Maison’s hallmark gadroon motif, which flows fluidly across the bracelet, case and dial, lending the watch a harmonious and sculptural appeal.

Crafted entirely from 18 ct white gold, the watch strikes a balance between luxury and wearability, weighing in at a surprisingly light 200 grams. Subtle dotted engravings mark the hours and minutes, while dauphine hands and the Piaget signature maintain a neat, understated aesthetic.

At its core is the ultra-slim 1200P1 Manufacture self-winding movement, visible through the transparent caseback. Housed in a 38 mm case with a refined 7.45 mm thickness, the Polo 79 offers both precision and timeless style in a modern reinterpretation of an icon.
