Tones of Refinement: Tissot Enhances Désir and Le Locle Collections with New References

Women's watches have helped shape Tissot's image as a brand that prioritises elegance, precision, and innovation. The Swiss watchmaker has consistently displayed its thorough understanding of women's preferences, creating designs that are not only classic and elegant but also sleek and contemporary. The brand is considered a pioneer in creating wristwatches for women during a period when pocket watches ruled the market; the brand saw the need for more practical and stylish timepieces. 

Over the years, the brand has introduced ground-breaking collections. Among them are Désir and Le Locle, exuding timeless grace and sophisticated femininity; Tissot has now added seven new references to these elegant collections. What makes these variants truly unique? Tissot Le Locle 29 mm 18k Gold Bezel

The timepiece features a stainless steel case, lugs, a crown at 3 o’clock, and an 18 ct fluted bezel. There is a Clous de Paris ‘guilloche’ finishing on the silver dial in the form of pyramids, along with a date window at 3 o’clock, and leaf-shaped hour, minute, and second hands in 18 ct gold. Finished on interchangeable steel bracelets, both models feature a Saint Bernard stamp, a mark of authenticity certifying that a Tissot watch component is made of 18 ct gold. 

Furthermore, the novelty (Ref. T932.207.41.036.00), sized at 29 mm, gets a combination of Roman numerals and eight diamond hour markers. Powering the novelty is an automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve. Named after Tissot’s birthplace, the Le Locle collection reflects the brand’s deep-rooted Swiss heritage. Among its standout models, the Le Locle Powermatic 80, housed in a 39.3 mm case, impresses with its 80-hour power reserve. 

Tissot Désir 

Housed in a 28 mm, stainless steel case, the new Désir collection is powered by a quartz movement with EOL (End of Life), which  indicates when the battery is running low and needs to be replaced, usually by making the second hand jump erratically or pause for a few seconds before moving again. In other words, EOL serves as a visual warning that the battery is nearing its end. Common to all novelties are the crown that is now placed at 2 o’clock, and the leaf-shaped hour, minute, and second hands.

Ref. T152.010.11.116.00 has a white mother-of-pearl dial, diamond hour markers, and a black minute track on the outer periphery of the dial. Ref. T152.010.11.118.00, on the other hand, gets a diamond minute track, and a combination of Roman and stick hour markers.

Ref. T152.010.22.118.00 has a rose gold PVD-coated case, bezel, and crown. There is a diamond minute track on the outer periphery of the white mother-of-pearl dial, accentuated by a combination of Roman and stick hour markers with a rose gold PVD coating. This model is finished on a stainless steel-rose gold bracelet.

Ref. T152.010.22.118.01 comes with a yellow gold PVD coating case, bezel, and crown. A diamond minute track on the outer periphery of the white mother-of-pearl dial, and a combination of Roman and stick hour markers with a yellow gold PVD coating enhance the watch’s aesthetic appeal. This model is finished on a stainless steel yellow gold bracelet.

In addition to a blue cabochon crown, Ref. T152.010.16.038.01 features a diamond minute track on the outer periphery of its graded silver blue dial, and a combination of Roman and stick hour markers. This model is finished on a blue leather strap. 

Bedecked with a white cabochon crown, Ref. T152.010.16.038.00 also comes with a diamond minute track on the outer periphery of its graded silver black dial. A combination of Roman and stick hour markers, and a black leather strap complete the overall look of the watch.
