Spotted at W&W 2024: Celebrities and their Exquisite Wristwatches

The recently-concluded Watches and Wonders (W&W) 2024 drew a record number of exhibitors and attendees including the biggest names in horology and several other famous names including much-loved actors and athletes. GMT India had a fantastic time attending W&W and spotting celebrities and the stunning timepieces on their wrists. Here are some sightings that stood out.

Gisele Bündchen Wearing IWC Portugieser Chronograph (Ref. IW371626) in Horizon Blue

Brazilian supermodel and IWC global ambassador Gisele Bündchen made an appearance at the brand’s W&W booth; needless to say; her presence served as a solid crowd-puller. Bündchen’s understated pant-suit look was complemented by IWC’s new Portugieser Chronograph (Ref. IW371626) in Horizon Blue. The watch is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69355 calibre, a robust mechanical chronograph movement with a classic column-wheel design. The large 41mm reference exudes a contemporary look while still embracing the recognisable design codes of the Portugieser Chronograph. 

Kylian Mbappé Wearing Hublot Big Bang e UEFA Champions League GEN3

French footballer and Hublot brand ambassador Kylian Mbappé wore the 44mm Hublot Big Bang e UEFA Champions League GEN3 as he stopped by the brand’s booth to showcase his love and support for Hublot. The iconic ceramic watch, a 200-piece limited edition, showcased the legendary blue of the UEFA Champions League.

Kevin O’Leary Wearing H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon and Patek Philippe Aquanaut

Canadian entrepreneur and television personality Kevin O’Leary is a well-known horology enthusiast who was spotted at various booths at W&W. He also attended GMT Magazine’s 24th Anniversary celebration where we noticed him wearing the H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon and a Patek Philippe Aquanaut.

Jacky Ickx Wearing Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph JX7

Jacky Ickx, Belgian former racing driver who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans six times and longtime Chopard ambassador, co-hosted a dinner for retailers, collectors, and select press. The brand also released a watch in collaboration with him, the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph JX7, which he was spotted wearing during his appearance at the gala.

Lee Jun-Ho Wearing Piaget Polo Date

South Korean actor and member of boy band 2PM, Lee Jun-Ho who also happens to be a global ambassador for Piaget, was spotted at the brand’s stunning booth. We caught sight of him flaunting the 42mm rose gold Polo Date featuring a lush green dial. 

Coco Gauff

American Tennis player Coco Gauff, also a Rolex Testimonee, paid a visit to the Rolex pavilion at W&W to commemorate her US Open win. The brand presented her with a special engraved timepiece.
