Richemont Veteran Executive Emmanuel Perrin Named Panerai CEO

Emmanuel Perrin, who has led the Specialist Watchmakers Distribution unit running Richemont’s Specialist Watchmaker’s Maisons, has been named the Chief Executive Officer of Panerai. Succeeding Jean-Marc Pontroué, Panerai's CEO since 2018, Perrin is set to take over from April 1; he will report to Richemont's CEO Nicolas Bos.

Born in 1969, Perrin served on the Senior Executive Committee from 2017 to 2022. He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund and earned a bachelor's degree in international business administration (B.B.A.) from the ESSEC business school. Prior to his current position, Perrin was Cartier Switzerland's EVP of Sales - International Commercial Director, and Cartier North America's President and CEO.

Following his leadership roles at Montblanc and Roger Dubuis, Pontroué ― who will leave the company on April 1 after a distinguished 25-year stint ― has been instrumental in developing Panerai's strategy and global presence.

Perrin's appointment as Panerai’s CEO adds to his 33-year journey at Richemont, which includes positions at Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels as well as his recent eight-year leadership at Richemont's Specialist Watchmakers Distribution. With a thorough understanding of the Group and the watch industry, he is well positioned to lead Panerai's future growth and success.
