Introducing the Newest Ressence Timepiece: The Minimalist TYPE 1° Round

As is true of every Ressence watch, this new launch — the TYPE 1° Round, the latest in the evolution of the brand’s TYPE 1 story — aims to create a meaningful, emotional and tactile relationship between the owner and the watch. The simple, minimalistic design of the Ressence Type 1 slim watch stays true to the design philosophy of the brand — less is more. The sapphire crystal and the case seamlessly merge in a simple minimalistic radius and there’s a harmonious confluence of the iconic pebble design of the TYPE 3 and the sleek design of the TYPE 1. This adds a tactile quality to the timepiece that allows it to effortlessly align with any wrist, style and occasion.

Every detail of the watch has been consciously crafted. For example, the revolving discs that display time in a bi-dimensional format with a smooth, ergonomic design instantly stands out. The colour ‘Night Blue’ — a dark, vivid blue — adds depth to the watch and the sunrayed silver metallic discs emphasise the movement of the dial. The stylish minimalism of the design is accentuated by the indexes, which appear at a gap of every 10 minutes, and the day of the week dial, where the weekdays and weekends are subtly differentiated with a clever use of colour. To allow for easier reading, the second and weekday hands have been made larger. The absence of a crown makes the timepiece versatile, allowing it to be either a left fit or a right fit.

The movement that runs the Ressence Type 1 slim watch is a patented ROCS 1.3 — Ressence Orbital Convex System — module, driven by the minute axle of a self-winding, customised 2892 base caliber. It offers a power reserve of 36 hours. The indexes on the German silver dial come filled with grade A Super-LumiNova®. Housed in a titanium case, measuring 42.7mm in diameter, the model comes with a double-domed sapphire crystal top with anti-reflective coating inside. The watch has a splash resistance of 10 metres. It comes with a leather strap, accompanied by a polished titanium ardillon buckle.

The TYPE 1° Round will be available worldwide in two finishes — Black (TYPE 1° Round B) and Night Blue (TYPE 1° Round N) — from June 2023 via Ressence’s official retailers network. They will be on display at Watches & Wonders 2023 in Geneva.
