Breguet Unveils New Strap Options for its Iconic Type XX and Type 20 Timepieces
Breguet launched its military-inspired Type 20 Chronographe 2057 (Ref. 2057ST/92/3WU) and civilian-inspired Type XX Chronographe 2067 (Ref. 2067ST/92/3WU) last year. Adding to the collections, the timepiece maker has now released new strap options for the revered models. The additions include stainless steel bracelets and more colour options for the NATO straps, namely brown, grey, and green.
Straps are an integral part of timepieces, both functionally and aesthetically. They are necessary to ensure that a watch fits your wrist comfortably. The material of a watch strap influences its durability. For example, metal bracelets may be better suited for everyday wear, whereas leather bands offer a classic style but may necessitate intense upkeep. The strap used on a watch might also make it more appropriate for specific activities. For example, water-resistant rubber or nylon straps are great for sports and outdoor activities, while metal bracelets or leather straps may be favoured for formal events or everyday wear in the workplace.
Straps demand varying levels of attention. Metal bracelets may require periodic polishing; leather straps may require conditioning to prevent cracks; and synthetic straps may merely require a wipe-down. When it comes to straps, many consumers choose ease of maintenance. Watch straps are of course more than just a way to keep the watch on your wrist. They allow for personal expression in a variety of contexts and activities.
