Norqain Launches Wild ONE Skeleton 39 mm, Independence Skeleton Chrono 42 mm Variants Ahead of Watches and Wonders 2025

Norqain may be a young brand, but it embodies the spirit of Swiss watchmaking with a strong, adventurous twist. Founded in 2018, this independent watchmaker has swiftly made a name for itself with strong designs, precise craftsmanship, and an unrelenting devotion to quality. Whether climbing mountains, exploring the deep sea or making a statement in the city, a Norqain watch is designed for those who love life without boundaries. Now, ahead of Watches and Wonders 2025, the timepiece maker has unveiled four new colours for the Wild ONE Skeleton 39 mm and Independence Skeleton Chrono 42 mm models.

The skeleton watches demonstrate the brand's technological expertise and modern design language. These timepieces have openworked displays that reveal the precise mechanics underneath, providing a great balance between modern aesthetics and Swiss precision. What’s more, Norqain's skeleton watches often feature cutting-edge materials that ensure both durability and a lightweight feel.

WILD ONE SKELETON 39 MM

Launched in colours like Hyper Pink (Ref. NNQ3001QBPI1AS/B003), Sky Blue (Ref. NNQ3001QBA1AS/B002), Purple Ice Blue (Ref. NNQ3001QPIA1AS/P001), and Mint (Ref. NNQ3001QBMT1LAS/B001), the watches come in a 39 mm Black NORTEQ® cage. The prevailing colour scheme extends to many features of the watch, including the rubber shock absorbers, the crown guards, the ring on the bezel, and even the Super-LumiNova applied to the hands and hour markers.

All four novelties have openworked black dials with hyper printings in their respective colours. Each watch face has a 60-minute track on the outer periphery and diamond-cut, flat, skeleton, rhodium-plated hour markers. The hour, minute hands are diamond-cut and faceted with rhodium plating, while the second hand is diamond-cut, flat, and rhodium-plated. The Mint novelty is a limited edition, produced in a limited run of 400 pieces; it is finished in stealthy black ruthenium.

Powering the Hyper Pink, Sky Blue, and Purple Ice Blue versions is the NORQAIN Calibre N08S, a skeletonised, chronometer-certified, automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve. The Mint features the NB08S Black movement, also with a 41-hour power reserve. Turning the watches showcases the skeleton casebacks, each with a Norqain oscillating weight; the Mint model has a black ruthenium oscillating weight with a “LIMITED EDITION, ONE of 400” engraving.

All four watches feature animal cruelty-free, Milanese-style, patterned rubber straps in colours that complement their designs. Each timepiece also includes Norqain’s signature plate on the left case flank, offering the possibility for personalisation. Additionally, they are all water-resistant for up to 200 metres.

INDEPENDENCE SKELETON CHRONO 42 MM

Both models feature 42 mm Grade 5 titanium cases. The Independence Skeleton Chrono 42 mm Purple has a satin-finished skeletonised black and purple openwork dial, while the Jade Green model’s case has a special DLC coating on the case, the chronograph pushers, the crown, and a satin-finished, skeletonised, black-and-jade green dial. The colour contrasts can be seen on the 60-minute track and the bridges on the dial. There is a 30-minute subdial at 12 o’clock, while a 60-second one rests at 6 o’clock. The dial has finished touches that tell the story of the brand’s beginnings in the Swiss mountains, including cutaway sections on the skeletonised dial shaped like mountains.

Powering the watches is Norqain 8K Manufacture Calibre featuring a flyback chronograph, allowing for seamless timing restarts at the push of a button. This chronometer movement offers a 62-hour power reserve and a column wheel. Each skeleton caseback has a repeating Norqain double-N logo engraving that adorns the movement’s oscillating weight.

Both watches feature the watchmaker’s signature customisable plate, located on the left case flank and available in Grade 5 titanium or black-coated DLC Grade 5 titanium. These can be personalised with an important date or motto, according to the owner’s wishes. The watches are finished on animal-cruelty-free rubber straps, the colours of which are inspired by the unique shades found in natural jade stones. The Jade Green model will be limited to 500 pieces, each featuring a caseback engraved with “Limited Edition ONE of 500”.
