Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils a Rich Tapestry of Reverso Innovations at Watches and Wonders 2025

Jaeger-LeCoultre, regarded as the "Watchmaker of Watchmakers", has once again captivated the horological world with a stunning array of new Reverso timepieces unveiled at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025. The Maison pays homage to the iconic Reverso's sporting origins whilst simultaneously showcasing its enduring legacy of technical innovation and artistic mastery. This year's collection offers a diverse spectrum of interpretations, from elegant reinterpretations of classic designs to breathtaking displays of high complications and Métiers Rares™ craftsmanship.

Celebrating the Genesis: The 1931 Polo Club Theme

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone as Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates the genesis of the Reverso, aligning with the 100th anniversary of the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the birthplace of Art Deco. This pivotal art movement profoundly influenced the Reverso's timeless aesthetic, establishing it as a design icon. The "1931 Polo Club" theme vividly brings to life the watch's conception on an Indian polo field in 1930, during the vibrant "Roaring Twenties". Jaeger-LeCoultre's immersive booth at Watches and Wonders mirrors the grand stables of aristocratic polo estates, providing a rich backdrop for the unveiling of these exceptional timepieces.

A Nod to Heritage: The Reverso Classic Monoface Collection

Honouring the earliest expressions of the Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced two new Monoface models. The Reverso Classic Monoface ‘Origin’ is a distinctly feminine iteration, drawing inspiration from the 1930s Reverso Dame with a refined 32.5 mm by 16.3 mm steel case. Its elegant dial features a guilloché sunray centre and subtle vertical brushing, complemented by transferred Arabic numerals. Available with a five-row steel bracelet (Q3878120) or a blue alligator leather strap (Q3878520), this quartz-powered timepiece offers a slender profile and a blank caseback perfect for personalisation.

The Reverso Classic Monoface Small Seconds (Q3868520) pays tribute to the 1931 model with a newly designed "coin stack" guilloché pattern on its dial and small seconds subdial. Housed in a polished stainless steel case measuring 40.1 mm by 24.4 mm, this manually wound watch features transferred Arabic numerals and a black Casa Fagliano calfskin strap. Powered by the in-house Calibre 822 with a 42-hour power reserve, it blends classic elegance with modern wearability.

The Bloom of Artistic Expression: Reverso One ‘Precious Flowers’

Expanding its celebration of feminine artistry, Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled two enchanting new additions to the Reverso One ‘Precious Flowers’ series: the Green Arums (Q3292434) and the Purple Arums (Q3292435). Each limited to just 10 pieces and presented in an 18-carat pink gold case (40 x 20 mm, 9.09 mm thick), these timepieces showcase the exquisite beauty of arum lilies through the intricate art of grand feu champlevé enamel on their swivelling casebacks. Black lacquer details and 409 snow- and grain-set diamonds (totalling 2.59 carats) complement the vibrant green hues of the Green Arums model, while the Purple Arums edition displays a stunning blend of purple, pink, and green enamel surrounded by 637 snow- and grain-set diamonds (totalling 2.12 carats). Both models feature delicate mother-of-pearl dials and are powered by the manually wound Calibre 846.

‘Precious Flowers’ editions

These ‘Precious Flowers’ editions exemplify the remarkable skill within Jaeger-LeCoultre's Métiers Rares™ atelier. The creation of the vibrant arum motifs involves a meticulous grand feu champlevé enamelling process, demanding up to 30 hours of dedicated work to achieve the desired depth and intensity of colour. Further enhancing their allure, hundreds of brilliant-cut diamonds are painstakingly set using both snow- and grain-setting techniques, requiring up to 95 hours on the Purple Arums model alone. Paired with shiny alligator straps in complementary green and purple respectively, these timepieces are exquisite celebrations of nature's elegance and the Maison's unwavering commitment to artistic excellence.

The Pinnacle of Artistry and Complexity

Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to push the boundaries of horological artistry with several other remarkable high-complication releases. The Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179 (Q39434E1), initially launched in 2023, now appears in a limited edition of 10 pieces with an 18-carat white gold case. This Duoface masterpiece showcases the fourth-generation Gyrotourbillon, visible on both the Art Deco-inspired lattice front dial and the skeletonised blue lacquer reverse, along with a second time zone indicator.

This boldly feminine creation, powered by the manually wound Calibre 846, exemplifies the exceptional skills of the Métiers Rares™ atelier.

Reverso Tribute Enamel ‘Shahnameh’ series

The Reverso Tribute Enamel ‘Shahnameh’ series comprises four exquisite limited-edition timepieces, each paying homage to the Persian epic poem with meticulously hand-painted miniature enamel reproductions on the caseback. The Siyavush Plays Polo before Afrasiyab model (Q39334S1) features a vibrant blue grand feu enamel dial over a sunrayed guilloché pattern and a paillonnage-enhanced enamel caseback, powered by the manual Calibre 822.

Both models come with interchangeable Casa Fagliano straps.

A Geographic Reverso Tribute

The Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater (Q7122480), limited to 30 pieces in 18-carat pink gold, boasts an entirely new in-house openworked movement, Calibre 953, incorporating seven patents for enhanced chime quality. Its front dial features teal blue grand feu enamel over a hand-guilloché barley-seed pattern, while the reverse reveals the intricate repeater mechanism.
