Renowned Roman jeweller and master of the art of time Bvlgari made a spectacular debut at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 (W&W Geneva 2025), marking a significant milestone for the Maison. For the first time, Bvlgari showcased its exceptional horological creations alongside its iconic jewellery, solidifying its position as a true innovator in the luxury landscape. The brand’s impressive exhibition space embodied its dual identity, seamlessly blending its Roman heritage with Swiss watchmaking expertise.
Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon: Setting a 10th World Record

The undisputed star of Bvlgari’s watchmaking showcase was the groundbreaking Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon. This remarkable timepiece attained its 10th world record for ultra-thin watchmaking, boasting a total case thickness of just 1.85 mm. This incredible feat was accomplished by directly integrating a skeleton tourbillon – watchmaking’s most emblematic complication – into the heart of the BVF 900 manual winding tourbillon mechanical ultra-thin movement. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a power reserve of 42 hours. The architecture of the movement has been meticulously skeletonised to maximise light diffusion, showcasing contemporary decorative techniques applied to its components. The main plate of this horological marvel is crafted from tungsten carbide, contributing to its rigidity within the remarkably slim profile. The 40 mm diameter case, with lugs, bezel, and middle case fashioned from microbead-frosted titanium, houses this extraordinary mechanism.

Two planar crowns in stainless steel with a circular-grained finish are positioned at 8 o’clock for winding and 3 o’clock for setting the time. A steel ratchet, also with a circular brushed finish and engraved with a geometric decoration, completes the winding system. The dial features an hour and minute display counter made of sandblasted brass with an anthracite DLC coating, indicated by polished brass hands with a rhodium coating. The watch is presented on an integrated microbead-frosted titanium bracelet, 1.5 mm thick including its folding clasp, further enhancing its exceptional finesse.
Serpenti Aeterna: A Bold Reimagining of an Icon

Alongside the horological triumph of the Octo Finissimo, Bvlgari unveiled the Serpenti Aeterna, a daring and visionary evolution of its timeless serpent icon. This avant-garde jewellery creation reimagines Maison’s legendary reptile in its most elemental form, distilled to the pure, powerful geometry of an original bracelet. While the Serpenti Aeterna is primarily presented as a high-jewellery piece, the article's specifications section provides details of Serpenti watch models likely related to this unveiling and utilising quartz movements. These models feature curved cases in either rose gold or white gold, entirely set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. The crowns are also adorned with diamonds, with the white gold variant (Ref. 104041) featuring an emerald brilliant cut on the crown. The bracelets are crafted from matching gold, fully paved with diamonds, and are available in different sizes (small and large for rose gold, small for white gold) to fit various wrist sizes. The dials are fully paved with brilliant-cut diamonds, with rose gold-plated hands on the rose gold models (Refs. 104205, 104280) and green hands on the white gold model (Ref. 104041). These Serpenti watches operate on quartz movements, providing hour and minute functions.
A Breath of Italy at Watches and Wonders
Bvlgari’s debut at Watches and Wonders was not just about showcasing exceptional timepieces and jewellery, it was also about immersing visitors in the Maison’s deeply Roman soul. The exhibition space, designed with beautiful marble hues and precious materials, channelled Bvlgari’s Italian culture, distinctive elegance, and avant-garde creative vision. Seven curated showcases, inspired by the Maison’s horological history chronicle "Beyond Time", guided visitors through the universe of Bvlgari, creating a dialogue between past and present, with archival photographs juxtaposed with the most innovative pieces.

Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari, expressed his excitement about joining Watches and Wonders, stating that the space was designed to fully express the brand’s DNA as both a jeweller and a watchmaking Maison. He highlighted Bvlgari’s commitment to blending Swiss innovation with Italian creativity, a vision that has led to 10 world records with the Octo Finissimo and the development of 13 revolutionary movements in just 11 years. These include innovations for ladies' jewellery and regular watches with the Bvlgari Piccolissimo, Bvlgari Micro Tourbillon Lady, and Bvlgari Lady Solo Tempo.

Bvlgari’s debut at Watches and Wonders 2025 served as a powerful assertion of its unmistakable identity as a Roman jeweller that has evolved into a Swiss watchmaker. With the groundbreaking Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon and the visionary Serpenti Aeterna, Bvlgari continues to push the boundaries of design and fine watchmaking, solidifying its position at the forefront of the luxury world.
